Who is coming?

Who is coming?
Who is coming?
The world has begun dancing
and is dancing my enraptured mind
It goes on dancing and dancing.
Today, it is
in impatience and exhilaration...

Who is coming?
Who is coming?
Flowers started beaming
in forests and gardens
Spring breeze started blowing
in every house
lightened- elated
visioned- gloried
in impatience and exhilaration...

Who is coming?
Who is coming?
The world has begun dancing
and is dancing my enraptured mind
It goes on dancing and dancing
Yamuna river is flowing upstream
Why so ecstatic is life!
Joyed- liven
lengthened- touched
in impatience and exhilaration...

Who is coming?
Who is coming?
The world has begun dancing
and is dancing my enraptured mind
It goes on dancing and dancing

This is translation of one of my favorite Odia songs. This song is from the movie "Mathura Bijay"- 1979, Music composed by- the great classical musician Balakrushna Dash and sung by Bhajana Samrat Bhikari Bal.. This song portrays the greatest devotee Narada's joy when when Lord Vishnu was about to incarnate as Krisna. It's favorite to me because I feel every time is auspicious for God's entrance / incarnation to guide a needy soul, it's how we ready our heart and welcome him...

  1. That is an excellent poem capturing sage Narada's excitement and joy heralding the divine incarnation.
